Fly Safe

I leave tomorrow for ten days in Singapore, doing some freelance writing for the first time in a few decades.
It seems everone I tell about this says the same thing: "Fly safe." It seems to me this is a new phrase, initiated after 9/11. It also seems fitting that people should say this. It is sad that the phrase has become so apt.
