Carol Shellhorn was a client of mine. I thought very highly of her and was saddened when she was swept away last December when the tsunami hit Phuket, Thailand where she was vacationing with her husband. It took another two months before her remains were identified by dental records. She was cremated and her remains have ben delivered to her parents near Winston Salem, South Caroline. There will be a memorial service on April 30.
When I originally posted about Carol, I was touched by how many people from different walks of her life found my blogged and contacted me. Details of her memorial service can be found here. I hope some of you can be at the service to comfort her family survivors and each other.
Oh dear, I had no idea that Carol was lost until someone from Coveo told me. Thank you for putting up this page.

Avi,
I'm sorry you had to learn this way. I'm sorry it was necessary to post news of this nature.

I had the pleasure of working with Carol when she was at Omniva last year. I was so sorry to hear about what happened. My thoughts are with her friends and family.
Thanks for putting up this page.

It is hard to believe it has been almost one year since Carol was swept away in the Tsunami, I know this will be another rough time for her husband Tim and family, my prayers and thoughts are with them. I miss her so much. I worked with Carol many years ago at Wachovia before she moved to California, we became very good friends. Carol was so ahead of her time, she lived life to the fullest even back then. She was incredible, and I'm so blessed to have known her.

It has been 5 years today since we lost our baby sister. My daughter who was born several months after her memorial is 4y.o. now. She is named for my mother and Carol. She knows that she has two guardian angels always looking over her. We pray for her every night. She is still such a big part of our lives. We cheerish her memory. We are sad because of our loss, but we are so blessed to have so many wonderful memories.

Carol is very missed every day and has touched so many lives. My heart goes out to you as her brother as the anniversary of her passing draws near. May you and your family feel God and Carol's love in the coming days. Peace friend.
